PHOTOTHERAPY

It is the treatment of skin diseases using ultraviolet light. It consists of a device with small tubelights which emit UVA & UVB light at specific wavelength desirable to treat skin disorders.

Commonly used for treatment of vitiligo, psoriasis, lichen planus, atopic dermatitis, keratoderma, erythroderma etc.

It requires multiple sessions along with oral medications to completely revert the changes of these skin disorders.

Average duration of treatment is 6months to 24 months, depending on the type of disease, its severity, skin quality and response.
